Job summary

Edwards & Pearce are seeking an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified accountant for a three-month temporary placement near Grimsby. The role supports the Financial Controller with ledger analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and group reporting, with possible tax packs and transfer pricing tasks.

The position is 37.5 hours per week, with a hybrid one-day-per-week option; ideally five days, but a four-day week can be accommodated. Prior manufacturing sector experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong analytical skills.
• Immediate start; commutable to Grimsby; hybrid option one day per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Controller with general ledger analysis.
• Assist with tax packs, transfer pricing, balance sheet reconciliations, and group reporting.
• Possibly perform stock reconciliations and BOM revaluations.

Job description

Temp assignment for an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified/part qualified accountant with excellent analytical skills.

This is a short-term temporary assignment for a period of 3 months and will assist the Financial Controller with a variety of duties including general ledger analysis, possibly tax packs, transfer pricing, balance sheet reconciliations, group reporting, stock reconciliations and possibly some bill of materials revaluation.

Hours are 37.5 per week, and it is envisaged that one day may be undertaken on a hybrid basis. The role however will be based near Grimsby. Although ideally the role will be 5 days per week, a 4-day working week can be made available.

The Candidate

The successful candidate should be available for an immediate start and be a qualified or part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant. Living within a commutable area of Grimsby is important as the role is unable to be undertaken on a remote basis although it is envisaged that one day per week could be on a hybrid basis.

Strong analytical skills are essential along with a good background in financial accounting, a high degree of systems literacy and the ability to pick things up quickly.

A previous background in the manufacturing sector would be advantageous.
