The opportunity

This role is based at our Cambridge Head office and gives the opportunity to work in a dynamic, AIM listed environment as part of the Group Finance team.

Key Responsibilities include

• Day to day management: oversee banking facilities and manage balances across the Group
• Month-End Process: Assist with month-end closing activities and Group financial reporting
• Intercompany Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile intercompany balances
• VAT Reporting: Prepare and submit quarterly VAT reports
• Statutory Reporting: Support statutory reporting at both group and subsidiary levels
• Tax Compliance: Aid in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and the accurate and timely filing of tax returns
• Compliance Review: Review adherence to Group Finance processes and policies
• Support: Provide support to Group Financial Controller and Group and local Finance team
• M&A Activity: Assist with mergers and acquisitions activities as needed

About you

Reporting to Group Financial Controller, you are a skilled and versatile financial accountant, your knowledge has been built on a robust foundation of financial and accounting learning. This role would suit someone looking to transition from practice to industry or who has previous financial accounting experience. You will have an eye for detail and have the curiosity to ask questions in order to understand our business to ensure the correct outputs. You will have a flexible attitude and enjoy day to day variability in the role.

Experience & Qualifications

• Qualified or Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• A solid background in IFRS and Group Reporting
• Ability to manage competing priorities with multiple stakeholders
• Capable of working effectively and efficiently under pressure in a fast-moving environment
• An analytical approach to resolving problems and finding effective solutions
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
• Willing to travel to other sites in the UK
