Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with an organisation in Belfast to recruit a Finance Transformation Programme Manager to lead a major finance transformation, including a new finance system and operating model.

This 9-12 month contract offers hybrid working with 2 days per week in Belfast and a chance to shape finance processes and ways of working at scale.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience delivering financial business and systems transformation.
• Proven experience delivering organisation-wide transformation projects with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience of finance systems procurement and implementation, plus supporting adoption and change.
• Strong programme management with ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a significant finance transformation programme, ensuring objectives and outcomes are achieved.
• Oversee multiple workstreams across systems, people, processes and organisational change, managing priorities, timelines and resources effectively.
• Lead the implementation of a new finance system, working closely with internal teams, suppliers and implementation partners.
• Review and improve existing finance processes, identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve efficiency.
• Lead change and adoption activity, ensuring stakeholders are engaged, supported and equipped to work effectively through transformation.
• Establish strong programme governance, monitoring risks, dependencies, budgets and progress and providing clear updates to senior stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation, constructively challenge where required and drive continuous improvement and new ideas.

MCS Group are proud to be partnering with an organisation in their search for a Finance Transformation Programme Manager. This is a key appointment within a significant finance transformation programme, including the implementation of a new finance system and the development of a more streamlined, efficient and modern finance function.

The Role:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a significant finance transformation programme, ensuring key objectives and outcomes are achieved.
• Oversee multiple workstreams across systems, people, processes and organisational change, managing priorities, timelines and resources effectively.
• Lead the implementation of a new finance system, working closely with internal teams, suppliers and implementation partners.

The Person

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential:

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience delivering financial business and systems transformation.
• Proven experience successfully delivering organisation-wide transformation projects across a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Experience of finance systems procurement and implementation, alongside supporting organisational adoption and change.
• Strong programme management experience, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, challenging deadlines and third-party suppliers.
