Marks Sattin is partnering with a well-established, people-first organisation seeking a Finance Transformation Lead to own the finance function, set up processes and board packs.

You''ll drive a broad transformation across systems, processes and culture, embedding finance across the business and collaborating with SLT to enable commercial, data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Review, document and improve core finance and business processes.
• Embed finance across the organisation and strengthen commercial finance relationships.
• Lead potential transition from Dynamics to Xero or similar systems.
• Introduce an effective purchase-to-pay process and system for better control of expenditure.
• Review cash and treasury management and optimise bank cash handling.
• Improve financial controls, reporting and management information.
• Create scalable, practical processes without overcomplication.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure finance participates in strategic decisions.

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established, people-first organisation that plays an important role within its industry, setting standards and driving continuous improvement across the sector.

They are looking for a Finance Transformation Lead to take ownership of the finance function, set up processes and strategic board packs.

This is not a "keep the lights on" finance role. You'll be given the opportunity to identify what isn't working, build the right processes and systems, and embed finance properly across the organisation.

The Role

Sitting close to the senior leadership team, you'll lead a broad transformation programme spanning systems, processes and culture.

Key priorities will include:

• Reviewing, documenting and improving core finance and business processes.
• Embedding finance across the organisation and creating stronger commercial relationships with non-finance stakeholders.
• Reviewing the current finance systems environment and leading the potential transition from Dynamics to Xero.
• Introducing an effective purchase-to-pay process and system, bringing greater control and visibility to expenditure.
• Reviewing cash and treasury management, including how cash currently held in the bank could be managed more effectively.
• Improving financial controls, reporting and management information.
• Creating scalable, practical processes without overcomplicating the organisation.
• Working alongside senior leaders to ensure finance plays an active role in commercial and strategic decision-making.
• Helping create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and commercially focused decision-making.

You'll be expected to become genuinely embedded in the business, participating in SLT discussions rather than operating finance as a standalone support function.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong finance expertise with a genuine transformation mindset.

You'll likely have:

• A track record of delivering finance transformation, process improvement or systems change.
• Experience working within an organisation where processes and controls needed to be built, improved or professionalised.
• Strong systems knowledge, ideally including finance system implementation or migration experience.
• Experience improving purchase-to-pay, cash management and wider finance processes.
• The ability to translate financial information into clear commercial insight.
• Confidence working with and influencing senior leadership teams.
• A pragmatic, hands-on approach. You'll be comfortable designing the solution as well as helping implement it.
• A long-term commercial mindset and the ability to balance stronger financial discipline with the organisation's existing culture.
