Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a highly professional organisation for a Project Accountant & Technology Lead in Sherborne. Hybrid working available after probation, with a salary around £50,000 negotiable, based on experience.

Role blends technical accounting expertise with AI and process-improvement initiatives across finance and compliance. You’ll lead strategic projects, implement AI-driven solutions, and drive continuous improvement while balancing hands-on accounting

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
At least 3 years’ relevant finance experience.
Experience delivering system improvements or finance transformation projects.
Genuine interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies.
Advanced Microsoft 365 skills.
Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

Lead AI and technology solutions across finance and compliance functions.
Drive automation of manual processes to improve efficiency.
Manage technology projects from planning through testing and implementation.
Liaise with software providers and internal stakeholders.
Deliver training and ongoing support to colleagues.
Support the preparation and review of management accounts, VAT returns, year-end statements, and audit files.
