Job summary

Public Sector Organisation in the UK is seeking a Finance Systems Implementation Lead to drive the end-to-end rollout of a brand-new finance system on a 9-month contract, with hybrid work in Manchester or London.

The role requires strong finance process knowledge, ERP project experience, and excellent stakeholder management. You will map requirements, configure the system, manage data migration and deliver training to enable new working practices.

Qualifications

• High levels of experience delivering finance system implementations within ERP projects or finance transformation initiatives.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or significant relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, controls and management reporting.
• Experience working in project teams within systems implementation or change environments.
• Experience mapping processes, gathering requirements and driving improvements.
• Experience supporting data migration, system testing and UAT.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and implementation of a new finance system with internal stakeholders and partners.
• Set up and lead the project team, ensuring requirements are translated into system solutions.
• Review finance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and automation.
• Oversee configuration, testing, data migration and UAT.
• Help cleanse and reconcile financial data during the implementation.
• Develop reporting needs and dashboards for management information.
• Produce process docs, user guides and training materials.
• Deliver training and support colleagues in adopting new systems and processes.
• Build relationships across Finance, IT and operations to ensure delivery.
• Support project planning, risk management and issue resolution.
