Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Finance Systems Specialist to support Microsoft D365 and related tools from its UK office in Woking. You will link Finance with the D365 Tech team and business users, driving improvements through automation and process enhancements.

You will document controls, support upgrades and testing, and deliver user training while ensuring alignment with internal controls and data governance standards.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant with experience in finance systems.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 and ERP environments in medium/large organisations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, AP, AR, reporting and month-end close.
• Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into system solutions and train users.
• Experience supporting system changes, testing or process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and improve Microsoft D365 and related systems.
• Act as a key link between Finance, the D365 Tech team and business users.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes through automation and system enhancements.
• Document system processes, controls and procedures.
• Work with the D365 team to ensure core finance system meets requirements.
• Support upgrades, patches, testing and new functionality.
• Ensure systems comply with internal controls, audit requirements and data governance.
• Provide support and guidance to finance system users.
• Deliver training to new and existing users on finance systems and processes.
• Translate requirements into system solutions in collaboration with Finance and IT.
• Support finance transformation projects and integration work.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, regression testing and issue tracking.
• Liaise with software providers, consultants and D365 teams as required.
