We need an experienced Finance Senior Business Partner to join our Finance Business Team here at AWE Nuclear Security Research.

Location: Our offices are based in Berkshire, RG7 4PR between Reading and Basingstoke with onsite parking. Requirement for 1 to 2 days on site per week.

Salary Range: Starts at £59,020 this is very much open to negotiation.

You’ll work with different and very interesting people across the organisation and what you do every day will make a difference to keeping our nation safe as we continue our vital mission. We are currently embarking on one of the biggest and most exciting projects in Europe and you will play a BIG part in this.

A typical day for a Finance Senior Business Partner could look like this:

  1. Building great relationships in complex environments
  2. Leading numerous teams to balance resources to enable financial information and insight to be provided to drive business performance
  3. Delivering improvements in financial awareness and acumen across AWE
  4. Providing constructive challenge, scrutiny, insight and analysis to the Business/Budget Holders on their financial plans and programmes.

We would like you to have experience of:

  • Interfacing and reporting effectively with key stakeholders across and outside the business
  • A business leadership role
  • Leading, managing and integrating different financial teams
  • Influencing sound business strategies to deliver savings and efficiencies
  • Dealing with complex business issues.
  • Stakeholder management skills with ability to work collegiately at all levels
  • Proficiency with cost management tools / business systems
  • Great rapport building and listening skills
  • Working in a finance environment
  • Developing and mentoring a team
  • Having operated in a similar or related role, ideally in Defence/MOD/ Nuclear or Regulated
