Job summary

IFS is looking for a Financials Pre‑Sales Consultant to join our UK Pre‑Sales team. This role suits someone with practical finance, accounting or financial systems experience who can take ownership of customer engagements, solution storytelling and value‑led demonstrations.

You will work with Sales, Product and Presales to understand priorities, shape finance‑focused narratives and demonstrate how IFS helps organisations improve financial management, operations and decision‑making through

Qualifications

• University degree or professional qualification in finance.
• 3+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, FP&A or consulting.
• Ability to translate finance processes into customer conversations.
• Knowledge of AI and modern software practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading discovery engagements, workshops and demonstrations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and geographies in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally; UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance-focused discovery workshops, meetings and demonstrations.
• Articulate finance-led challenges across close, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash management.
• Design demonstration scenarios, proof points and presentations.
• Understand core financial management processes (GL, AP, AR, FA, Project Accounting, Financial Reporting).
• Show how finance connects to asset management, service, supply chain, manufacturing and HR.
• Demonstrate value of Industrial AI, automation and intelligent workflows.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and Presales to progress opportunities across the UK.
• Contribute to RFIs, RFPs, proposals and customer docs.
• Develop understanding of industry trends and value drivers.
• Maintain knowledge of IFS finance solutions and roadmap.
• Capture customer feedback to improve positioning and messaging.
