Our client, an established global private equity firm based in central London, is seeking a Finance / Portfolio Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this newly created role is broad and varied, involving collaboration with numerous stakeholders. The position is expected to start within the next few weeks and offers a fantastic temp to perm opportunity.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with onboarding new investments and resolving post-deal issues.
2. Support deal-related activities such as due diligence, fund flows, KYC, and analysis.
3. Review monthly management packs and liquidity models, assessing funding needs.
4. Conduct ad hoc analysis of portfolio company financial information.
5. Develop and manage an internal audit program for portfolio companies.
6. Assist with internal reporting processes and quarterly stakeholder reports.
7. Establish and manage UK portfolio holding companies, ensuring compliance with substance and tax requirements.
8. Lead UK statutory reporting, including preparing accounts, coordinating audits, and maintaining statutory records.
9. Support the Finance Director and Fund Operations with special projects.
10. Collaborate with Investment, Strategic Operations, Investor Relations, and Compliance teams as needed.

Requirements

1. Qualified Accountant (preferably Big 4 trained) with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
2. Strong knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP.
3. Experience in leisure/hospitality industry is advantageous.
4. Ability to work independently and across different time zones.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
6. Advanced Excel skills.
7. Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
8. Motivated, with a desire to learn and grow within the role.
9. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines under pressure.
