Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Darlington invites a Hosted Finance Placement Student to join the Engine Business finance team this Summer 2027. You'll support month-end close, journal preparation, reconciliations, and reporting while learning how a global industrial group runs its finances.

You will build reports and dashboards with Excel and Power BI, work with stakeholders across Finance, contribute to process improvements, and participate in cross-functional projects as you develop your finance career.

Qualifications

• Working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject.
• Excellent IT skills, especially Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to challenge the norm and drive improvements.
• Proficient in collaborating via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Develop dashboards and data analyses using Excel and Power BI.
• Identify opportunities to automate and standardise finance processes.
• Assist with presentations and financial summaries for management reviews.
• Collaborate with placement students on community and cross-functional projects.
• Own assigned tasks and deliver high-quality work on time.
