Job summary

Samsung Electronics is seeking a finance placement in Chertsey. You will support finance teams with data management, validation of master data and reporting. A Maths, Economics or Accounting degree is expected, with strong Excel skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

You will engage in pricing reviews, data collection, and ad-hoc analyses, while learning about how finance supports business decisions in a global tech company. Hybrid working is available, with a August 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards a Maths, Economics or Accounting related degree.
• Strong Excel skills required (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, ROUND).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with high accuracy.
• Excellent communication and proactive, self-starting approach.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities

Finance is integral to our business. We have a number of Finance Teams across the business, and throughout your placement you will be given responsibility and valuable insights into how our Finance teams support the continued success of the organisation.

Our Finance opportunities require efficiency & accuracy, and to be considered you must be working towards a Maths, Economics or Accounting related degree.

As a finance placement you could be involved in:

• Managing, organising and validating large volumes and different types of master data
• Managing data collection
• Reviewing current pricing strategies
• Support with quarterly / half yearly & ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Finding efficiencies

What do we need for this role?

• To be proactive and a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills - VLOOKUP, SUMIF, ROUND etc
• Project management skills.
• Approachable with clear & concise communication.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet fixed deadlines.
