Job summary

Samsung Electronics in the United Kingdom is offering a finance placement designed for students pursuing Maths, Economics or Accounting. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting data management, pricing reviews and reporting, in a hybrid work environment based near Chertsey.

Role and Responsibilities

Finance is integral to our business. We have a number of Finance Teams across the business, and throughout your placement you will be given responsibility and valuable insights into how our Finance teams support the continued success of the organisation. Our Finance opportunities require efficiency & accuracy, and to be considered you must be working towards a Maths, Economics or Accounting related degree.

As a finance placement you could be involved in:

• Managing, organising and validating large volumes and different types of master data
• Managing data collection
• Reviewing current pricing strategies
• Support with quarterly / half yearly & ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Finding efficiencies

What do we need for this role?

• To be proactive and a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills - VLOOKUP, SUMIF, ROUND etc
• Project management skills.
• Approachable with clear & concise communication.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet fixed deadlines.
