Job summary

Action for Carers is seeking a Finance and Payroll Officer to support day-to-day financial operations in Guildford. The role involves managing purchase and sales ledgers, reconciliations and payroll administration, working closely with the Head of Finance to ensure robust finances for carers across Surrey.

The successful candidate will have finance or bookkeeping experience, familiarity with Xero or similar systems, strong Excel skills and a proactive, confidential approach to handling sensitive

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance, bookkeeping or accounts support role.
• Good understanding of purchase ledger processes and basic accounting principles.
• Experience using financial systems, ideally Xero, together with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial operations including purchase and sales ledger processing, reconciliations, payroll administration and audit preparation.
