Key Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 45 employees using Sage Payroll
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate submissions to HMRC, including annual P11D reporting

  • Manage the purchase ledger, including invoice matching, processing, and supplier reconciliations
  • Prepare weekly payment runs and process supplier payments through online banking systems
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and allocate payments accurately
  • Process employee expenses and private mileage claims
  • Complete bank and debtor reconciliations
  • Prepare month-end journals and support month-end close activities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Provide general finance and administrative support to the wider team as required

  • Experience processing payroll using Sage Payroll or similar payroll software
  • Strong purchase ledger and accounts administration experience
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems, ideally Sage
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a small team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
  • High levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information
