Job summary

Operose Health is seeking a Business Partner on a 6-month contract to strengthen the finance function. This remote role includes occasional travel to London and reports to the Head of Finance, contributing to monthly close, budgeting, and performance reporting across the organisation.

You will lead a small team, drive process improvements, ensure robust financial controls, and partner with operational colleagues to maximise income and manage costs.

Qualifications

• A professionally qualified or part qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years experience in a Financial Management role.
• Able to work under own initiative and supervise others, planning and delivering programmes.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not essential.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects and managing budgets and forecasts.
• Excellent oral and written communication with finance and non-finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and allocate tasks within the management accounts team.
• Own the month end process and related journals, P&L and balance sheet analysis.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations across the organisation.
• Collaborate with teams to provide timely financial information and guidance.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist with year end close and external audit preparations.
• Drive process improvements and automation in month end close.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and due diligence as required.
