Job summary

Operose Health Ltd is seeking a Business Partner on a 6-month contract to join the finance team. The role focuses on delivering the commercial finance and management accounts, supporting operational colleagues, and owning month-end close with strong controls.

You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting and provide senior support during year-end activities while driving improvements in the close process and ad-hoc commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA) with senior finance experience.
• Hands-on track record; able to work under own initiative and supervise others.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and ability to drive teams to achieve objectives.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not essential.
• Overseeing multiple projects and programmes to deliver objectives.
• Excellent oral and written communication with both non-finance and finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and allocate tasks within the management accounts team; handle complex tasks.
• Own the month-end process, including journals, P&L and balance sheet analysis, with close collaboration with HoF.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and present to operational colleagues.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and follow up actions across the organisation.
• Guide on financial implications of business strategies and actions to colleagues.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting across the group.
• Support year-end close and statutory audit preparations.
• Identify process improvements to optimise month-end close and drive automation.
• Participate in ad-hoc due diligence and commercial projects as requested.
