Job summary

Price Bailey invites applications for an Outsourcing Manager to own a mixed client portfolio and lead outsourced finance functions. You will oversee monthly management accounts, cash flow, budgets, payroll and VAT reviews while steering engagement across teams and ensuring profitability.

You will manage a team, onboard new clients and discuss fees, with a focus on forward-thinking tech, automation and AI to improve accuracy and value for owner-managed businesses.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (minimum criteria).
• Strong systems knowledge e.g. Xero, Dext, QBO, including implementation (minimum criteria).
• Experience in portfolio management, including overseeing delivery of fully outsourced finance functions, WIP management and billing.
• Up to date working knowledge of tax including MTD.
• Experience in fee discussions and pitching to prospective clients.
• Confident, articulate and an effective communicator at all levels.
• Team management experience, including line management.
• Applies a forward-thinking approach to technology, leveraging automation and AI to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Additional systems and implementation knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership for a mixed and demanding portfolio of clients.
• Managing the delivery of outsourcing assignments to include review of monthly/quarterly management accounting, preparing cash flow reports, budgets and projections, overseeing and review of bookkeeping, review of VAT returns and assisting clients with VAT queries and tax investigations.
• Acting as the overall engagement manager for a portfolio of clients, including liaising with teams across the firm to deliver annual accounting and corporation tax compliance, payroll, company secretarial and advisory services, alongside responsibility for billing and WIP management, KYC, and AML procedures.
• Onboarding of new clients, including system set ups and process reviews, advising both new and existing clients on optimum processes and suitable systems to achieve objectives laid out.
• Managing a team varied in role, from trainee accountants, assistant accountants and management accountants.
• Being the main contact with your client base, being their ‘go to' advisor and building those relationships. Taking responsibility for fee discussions and billing.
