Job summary

Parker Howley & Co, a fast-growing Yorkshire furniture manufacturer in Mirfield, seeks a Finance & Operations Coordinator to own finance, purchasing and day-to-day operations. You will work directly with owners, handling management accounts, cash flow, payroll and job costing while improving systems as the business scales.

There is progression toward Director level, with a potential EMI share scheme after probation and a clear path to ownership for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Practical hands-on finance experience across SME operations.
• Experience producing management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and budgets.
• Ability to own payroll, VAT, and job costing with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance including ledgers, payroll and reconciliations.
• Produce management accounts and cash-flow forecasts.
• Develop accurate job and product costing to understand margins.
• Manage purchasing and supplier relationships and negotiations.
• Improve stock and materials control across operations.
• Support order scheduling, capacity planning and delivery planning.
• Identify cost leakage, bottlenecks and process improvements.
• Loster responsibility as main contact for accountants, banks and insurers.
• Assist with basic HR, Health & Safety when required.
