Job description

Finance Operations Business Partner (m/f/d), FinOps BP

The Finance Operations Business Partnering (BP) team is seeking a Finance Manager (m/f/d) who will be a key member of the worldwide Retail BP team. This individual will be located in Munich and will primarily support finance operations related to the order-to-cash (O2C) processes. Our team focuses on reducing defects within the O2C process that impact customers and vendors.

We advocate for global improvements through technology and collaboration with various teams to define, design, and prioritize enhancements in ordering, fulfillment, billing, collection, and dispute resolution processes with vendors. The candidate will diagnose current Amazon processes and metrics, identify opportunities, work with business partners on tools/systems improvements, and validate these efforts.

You will be a key player in a team of high-performing operations excellence and finance professionals, driving upstream systems and process initiatives to improve data quality and billing accuracy for vendors. We are looking for an experienced Finance/Program Manager to partner with our upstream business and technical teams.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Drive program objectives – Define project plans, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation, and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.
  2. Scale services and tools – Design processes and procedures that accommodate business growth in volume, complexity, and global reach.
  3. Define key performance indicators – Develop metrics and service level agreements, and monitor delivery against these objectives.
  4. Collaborate and build relationships – Work with system and business owners globally to ensure process excellence and controllership.
  5. Negotiate processes and policies – Streamline dependencies and eliminate defects across partner teams.
  6. Cross-organizational collaboration – Identify opportunities in processes, technology, and human interfaces, and develop plans to leverage these opportunities, measuring success and impact.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, business, or related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in tax, finance, or analytical roles
  • Experience in accounts receivable or payable
  • Ability to apply KPIs to analyses and build financial/operational reports
  • Experience in process improvements, automation, and continuous improvement projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience with data quality issues and root cause analysis
  • Proven impact through financial models, analysis, and recommendations
  • Experience with large-scale data tools and financial systems
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
