Job summary

Howden is offering a permanent apprenticeship in Finance Operations in Milton Keynes. You will join an 18-month development programme to build technical knowledge and professional skills while earning £23,000. Expect structured learning, exposure to invoices, expenses, supplier setup and payments processes.

No prior insurance experience is required; training will cover expense management, corporate card costs, supplier payments and collaboration across teams to support a smooth finance function.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK with full rights.
• UK residency requirement for the last 3 years.
• GCSE English grade C/4 and GCSE Maths grade B/5 completed.

Responsibilities

• Learn how employee expenses are managed and use the expense claim system.
• Check expense claims against company rules for accuracy.
• Support corporate credit card cost management and approvals.
• Review supplier invoices and help prepare them for payment.
• Set up new suppliers with due diligence and correct banking details.
• Maintain clear and accurate expenses records and documentation.
• Answer employee questions and work with payments teams.
• Elevate issues to the Accounts Payable Manager when needed.
