UCL Mechanical Engineering has been pioneering the development of engineering education. We develop and apply core competencies to produce world-class research into a wider range of engineering challenges than most would imagine.
This position will play a key role in supporting the department’s externally and internally funded research projects. Responsibilities include managing the research proposal process, handling research contract requests, following financial monitoring procedures, reporting, and other grant project tasks as requested by Principal Investigators. The role requires close collaboration with the Mecheng Finance Team.
You will be educated to A Level or equivalent, or have relevant skills acquired in higher education administrative settings. Knowledge of financial processes and regulations is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. You should have an interest in research funding processes within a higher education/research environment, and excellent knowledge of Excel, including understanding and using numerical formulae. Your application should include a statement expressing your interest, highlighting relevant experience, and explaining how this secondment would benefit your career development.
