Thenue Housing Association is seeking a Finance Officer to join our Finance Team in Glasgow. You will handle designated accounting activities, reconciliations, financial controls and reporting, supporting management and statutory accounts, budgets, forecasts, financial analysis and audit work papers.

A Level 1 Disclosure check is required; hybrid working is offered. The role requires finance experience, with an appropriate qualification or progress towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA.

Salary: EVH Grade 7 PA22 to PA25 £42,707 - £46,895 per annum)

Location: Thenue HA, 423 London Road, Glasgow, G40 1AG

Thenue Housing Association has around 80 staff and provides high quality housing with a stock base of approximately 3,000 properties in our six main communities, as well as 21 supported accommodation projects, mainly located in Glasgow. We also provide a factoring service to over 800 owners within our communities and have around 45 sharing owners. Our housing stock ranges from Victorian sandstone tenements to 1930 “interwar” flats, along with a few listed buildings and new build properties developed by the Association. They are spread across several locations in Glasgow including Bridgeton, Calton, Cranhill, Castlemilk, Dalmarnock, Scotstoun, Baillieston and Blackhill.

Finance Officer

We are looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join our Finance Team. You will take responsibility for designated accounting activities, reconciliations, financial controls and reporting. Working with the Senior Finance Officer and Finance Manager, you will support the preparation of management and statutory accounts, budgets, forecasts, financial analysis and audit working papers. You will also prepare financial information for the Association’s subsidiaries, support service charge calculations and contribute to improvements in finance systems and controls.

As Finance Officer, you will be organised, accurate and proactive, with the ability to meet deadlines and explain financial information clearly. You should have relevant finance or accounting experience and be educated to HNC/HND level or have equivalent relevant experience. An accounting qualification, or progress towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, is desirable.
