Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a Finance Manager for a manufacturing business based in Lee-on-the-Solent. The role owns financial reporting, planning and oversight across the organisation, reporting to the Managing Director.

It also involves collaboration with an acquired German company as part of the broader business. The position emphasizes commercial analysis, operational leadership and cross-Department involvement, including HR and office administration.

Qualifications

• Qualified or suitably experienced finance professional with strong management accounting and reporting capability.
• Commercially minded with the ability to interpret financial information and communicate clear conclusions to stakeholders.
• Organised and dependable, able to manage competing priorities and maintain robust financial controls.
• Confident overseeing a small finance team and working collaboratively across departments.
• Comfortable contributing to wider business activities, including HR, recruitment and office administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly management information, including profit and loss reporting, forecasts and business performance analysis.
• Manage budgeting, liquidity planning, KPI development and project profitability reviews to support informed decision-making.
• Oversee the finance team, providing guidance and acting as the principal contact for finance-related queries.
• Coordinate key finance processes, including VAT matters, supplier payments, intercompany activity and timely posting of transactions.
• Work with external accountants, senior stakeholders and the German business to support accurate reporting and year-end requirements.
