Job Title: Finance Manager (Stock)

Location: Leicester Area (On-site / Hybrid options available)

Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Salary: £50-60k (DOE) + Benefits

The Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong stock and inventory knowledge to take ownership of a high-impact position. You will be responsible for ensuring visibility, accuracy, and control over stock-related financials, collaborating closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage inventory reporting and reconciliations, ensuring alignment between physical stock and financial records.
2. Analyze stock movements, wastage, shrinkage, and identify trends for corrective actions.
3. Develop and report on inventory KPIs such as turnover, days on hand, provisions, and write-offs.
4. Lead month-end and year-end inventory close processes and reporting.
5. Support physical inventory audits and cycle counts.
6. Provide forecasts, insights, and commentary on stock-related working capital and cash flow impacts.
7. Partner with operational stakeholders to support stock reduction plans and margin improvements.
8. Contribute to system and process improvements related to inventory controls and reporting.
9. Assist in stock valuation reviews for external funding or audit purposes.

Candidate Profile

1. Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with significant inventory exposure.
2. Proficient in financial reporting, controls, and analysis related to stock.
3. Strong Excel skills and experience with large ERP or stock management systems.
4. Ability to present complex data to non-finance stakeholders.
5. Detail-oriented with commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
