Job summary

Venture Search is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own the finance function for a boutique, international financial services firm with offices in London. You will report to the Managing Director and lead all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting, treasury, controls and financial operations.

The role offers regular exposure to the Board and senior leadership, overseeing multi-currency consolidation, VAT compliance, statutory accounts, and the annual external audit, with a focus on

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant or equivalent.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, reporting and modelling experience.
• Experience modelling revenue from contractual fee structures.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation, UK VAT and statutory audits.
• Commercial mindset with autonomous leadership of the finance function.
• Excellent stakeholder management; comfortable presenting to Board.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly cash flow forecasting, budgeting and reforecasting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting.
• Oversee revenue modelling, contract fees and commissions.
• Manage treasury, cash, FX and multi-currency exposure.
• Oversee group consolidation, VAT, regulatory reporting and statutory accounts.
• Lead external audit and manage adviser relationships.
• Oversee systems, controls, payroll and pensions; drive automation.

Job description

Our client is a boutique, international financial services firm specialising in capital raising for private markets investment managers. With offices in London and Europe, the business offers an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment, working closely with senior industry professionals.

The firm is seeking an experienced finance manager to take ownership of its finance function. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting, treasury, controls and financial operations, with regular exposure to the Board and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own monthly cash flow forecasting, budgeting, reforecasting and financial modelling.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting for the Board and Management Committee.
• Oversee revenue modelling, contractual fee calculations and consultant commission payments.
• Manage treasury, cash management, foreign exchange and multi-currency exposure.
• Oversee group consolidation, UK VAT, regulatory reporting and statutory accounts.
• Lead the annual external audit and manage relationships with professional advisers.
• Oversee financial systems, internal controls, payroll, pensions and operational finance, driving automation and process improvements.

Candidate Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and commercial modelling.
• Experience modelling revenue based on contractual fee structures.
• Proven experience of multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation, UK VAT and statutory audits.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to operate autonomously as the firm's senior finance lead.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting to senior management and Board-level stakeholders.
