Role - Deputy Head of Finance - aka FInance Manager, Payroll Manager, Management Accountant
Salary - to 57K
Location - Wandsworth, SE London 2 days a week in the office 3 days WFH
What you ll be doing:Own the payroll process (c. 400 FTE / Contractors): Manage end-to-end payroll and ensure everything is accurate, compliant, and running smoothly.
Produce monthly management accounts: Full P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage cash flow forecasts: Keep the financial planning on track.
Support year-end accounts: Get involved in statutory reporting and audit preparation.
Work with budget holders: Provide accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making.
Lead a small finance team: Manage, support, and develop two team members.
Drive improvements: Bring new ideas to enhance payroll systems, controls, and reporting.
Strong experience with payroll, management accounting, and financial reporting.
Good knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and pensions.
Confident managing or supervising staff.
Strong Excel and finance system skills.
Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving ability.
A proactive, collaborative approach with great communication skills.
