Job description

Finance Manager (Part-time) - Liverpool - £45,000 to £55,000 FTE + Benefits

We are working with a growing and entrepreneurial business based in Liverpool, seeking a Finance Manager to support the Owner in providing strategic and financial information to facilitate informed decision-making.

You will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, ensuring the continued success of the business.

Responsibilities:
  1. End-to-end production of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packs to strict deadlines.
  2. Budgeting and forecasting, including producing the company's annual budget and rolling forecasts.
  3. Producing annual accounts.
  4. Preparing a monthly P&L with variance analysis and commentary.
  5. Balance sheet reconciliations.
  6. Journals - accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
  7. Producing a wide range of statistical reports to aid decision-making.
  8. Overseeing payroll.
  9. Checking and authorising supplier payment runs and ad hoc payments.
  10. Liaising with external advisors.
Skills/Attributes:
  1. Ideally fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  2. Strong QBE candidates will also be considered.
  3. Excellent Excel skills are essential.
  4. Experience working in an SME is beneficial.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
