Job summary

JUICE RECRUITMENT is seeking a part-time Finance Manager for an established SME in Bath to maintain accurate records, prepare management accounts, and ensure VAT compliance.

You will work with a senior leadership team, manage multiple priorities, and help shape the finance function with new technology, while benefiting from a pension, 28 days holiday, and study support for AAT.

Qualifications

• Experience with management accounts and VAT returns
• High accuracy and attention to detail with IT proficiency, especially spreadsheets and accounting software
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software
• Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns and manage statutory deadlines
• Prepare monthly management accounts and respond to director queries
• Process monthly payroll and assist with year-end financial reporting
• Prepare annual budgets and year-end packs for external accountants
• Perform monthly reconciliations ensuring data accuracy
• Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently

We are recruiting for an established SME who are recruiting a dedicated Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

We are looking for someone who is able to take charge of maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management accounts and ensuring VAT compliance.

The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, managing multiple priorities and delivering precise financial reporting to support a growing organisation’s success.

• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software
• Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns and manage statutory deadlines
• Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts and respond to director queries
• Process monthly payroll and assist with year-end financial reporting
• Prepare annual budgets and year-end packs for external accountants
• Perform monthly reconciliations ensuring data accuracy
• Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently

WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:

• Experience working with management accounts and VAT returns
• AAT Level 3 or 4
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong IT proficiency, particularly with spreadsheets and accounting software
• Excellent communication skills and organisational skills
• Ability to work flexibility and adapt to changing priorities of business
