Job summary

OSL Cutting Technologies, a Sheffield-based engineering and manufacturing business, seeks a Finance Manager to lead the finance function, deliver accurate reporting, drive controls, and improve processes during an exciting growth phase.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, manage month-end close, support audits, and contribute to strategic financial planning. This role is primarily office-based with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or stock-based business.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Strong business partnering with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficient IT/ERP systems knowledge.
• Inventory accounting expertise.
• Cashflow management experience.
• Inquisitive mindset and continuous improvement.
• Good commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board packs.
• Provide variance analysis and commentary.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.
• Lead year-end audit preparations and be finance lead for auditors.
• Coach and develop the finance team and monitor KPIs.
• Manage month-end close and NetSuite ledgers.
• Oversee procurement, sales ledger controls, and credit management.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure VAT, tax, and statutory reporting compliance.
