Job description

Finance Manager - London

Seeking a Finance Manager for a 3-6-month contract within a real estate company based in Central London. The company is a property management and lettings agency managing a broad portfolio of private residential, commercial, retail, and industrial properties. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the concept of different entities and client companies, intercompany recharges. Experience in the property/real estate sector and exposure to 're-leased' properties would be highly desirable.

Job Details:
  • Title: Finance Manager
  • Contract: 3-6 months (Potential Temp to Perm for the right candidate)
  • Industry: Real Estate
  • Hours: Full Time, 9-5 office hours
  • Software: Xero, re-leased
  • Work Location: 5 days in the office per week
Responsibilities:
  1. Act as an experienced Bookkeeper and Xero Accounts System Super User
  2. Experience working in a Lettings or Property Management Company
  3. Ensure all financial activities comply with accounting standards and regulations
  4. Collaborate with external accountants to prepare and file statutory accounts and tax returns, including CT61, VAT, and Non-Resident Landlord Returns
  5. Manage Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger Clerks
  6. Post all rent and other payments in Xero daily
  7. Update rent payments on Residential Tenant Database daily
  8. Prepare weekly Debtors and Creditors lists
  9. Reconcile credit card statements and authorize bank payments
  10. Perform monthly bank and deposit reconciliations
  11. Generate monthly client, operating, intercompany expenses, and cash flow reports
  12. Process payroll based on information from external accountants
  13. Manage fixed assets, pre-payments, loan interest, depreciation, and accruals
  14. Allocate revenue and capital expenses accurately
  15. Conduct rent variance and costs of sales analysis
  16. Provide cover for Ledger Clerks when needed
