Qualifications

CCAB/CIMA qualified finance professional, or strong local government finance experience.
Experience in district council or public sector environment preferred.
Knowledge of accounting standards and codes of practice.

Responsibilities

Support the Head of Finance & Property with strategic and operational day-to-day management of the finance service.
Coordinate and prepare council revenue budgets for General Fund and HRA and assist with MTFS and HRA multi-year plan.
Lead the final accounts process and timely production of annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, codes of practice and internal Procedures Rules.
Develop relationships with internal/external auditors and respond to recommendations.
