Job summary

DCB Legal in the United Kingdom is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance function for the legal entity with exposure to the group. You will ensure accurate day-to-day financial administration, underpin strong financial controls and oversee month-end reporting.

The role includes managing both the Legal and group finance teams, coordinating the external audit, and delivering budgets and cash flow forecasts. A hands-on leader with thorough knowledge of statutory requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Broad role focusing on the Legal company with exposure to the other company in the group.
• Responsible for accurate day-to-day financial administration and maintaining financial records for statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Owns the monthly management accounts and month-end process, overseeing the transactional finance function.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Legal finance team to ensure day-to-day processing is completed end-to-end.
• Oversee the DCBL finance team to maintain financial processes and deadlines.
• Develop and coach the finance teams, ensuring adequate cover and deadlines.
• Maintain appropriate financial controls and processes across the finance function.
• Ensure compliance with Legal SRA accounting rules.
• Own and review monthly management accounts and assist with accounts preparation.
• Manage the annual external audit process as main day-to-day contact with auditors.
• Oversee transactional finance functions: purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and banking.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts.
• Collaborate with client teams to provide financial insights and analytical support.
• Assist with financial KPIs and client payback preparation and payments.
• Cover holidays across the group and be hands-on when required.
