Job summary

ICAEW in London is seeking a qualified accountant to join its Finance Operations team in a broad, commercially focused role. You will own key accounting processes, partner with senior stakeholders, and develop a small team, with exposure to FP&A, systems and transformation within the insurance market.

The role offers a platform to progress towards Head of Finance level, with opportunities across financial control and business partnering.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Post-qualified experience in industry.
• Excellent financial control and accounting knowledge.
• Experience budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• Previous team management or development experience.
• Systems-focused with an interest in improving processes.
• Strong Power BI knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end accounting and financial control.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
• Business partner with senior stakeholders and budget holders.
• Support audit, tax, VAT and year-end reporting.
• Manage and develop two finance analysts.
• Drive process improvement and enhance Power BI reporting.
• Support wider finance and strategic change initiatives.
