Job summary

Whitbread is seeking a Finance Manager for Internal Reporting & Control to lead the monthly internal reporting process and the period close, delivering accurate P&L and Balance Sheet packs for senior stakeholders. You will own reconciliation processes, drive governance and risk management, and coach a team of Internal Reporting analysts across a large, multi-site organisation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Financial Control or Internal Reporting environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly internal reporting process for Whitbread PLC, ensuring accurate, high-quality P&L and Balance Sheet reporting is delivered on time and supports effective business decision making.
• Own and coordinate the period close process, producing monthly reporting packs, driving Balance Sheet reviews and providing challenge and insight to senior finance stakeholders.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed in line with policy, investigating variances, identifying risks and maintaining strong financial control across the Group.
• Champion Whitbread's Financial Control Framework, supporting audit requirements, compliance activities, process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen governance and reduce risk.
• Lead, coach and support a team of Internal Reporting analysts, building strong relationships across Finance and deputising for the Financial Controller when required.
