Salary: £60,000 - £72,000 plus £5319 London Weighting and up to 15% bonus, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Contract: Permanent
Location: Office Base London Television Centre. This is a hybrid role, and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

THE ROLE

BBC Commercial aims to double cash flow and expand our Content Studio in five years. This growth depends on robust processes, a solid control environment, and reliable financial reporting.
We are recruiting an experienced finance manager to support and implement an effective Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework, ensuring high governance standards are met at a commercial level.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the implementation of a new ICFR framework for BBC Commercial.
• Leading process workshops to document financial statement lines, risks, and controls.
• Conducting walkthroughs and control effectiveness testing.
• Supporting operational effectiveness testing and remediation of control deficiencies.
• Supporting ICFR reporting and annual scoping.
• Raising awareness of ICFR requirements and proposing improvements.
• Assisting with ICFR attestation/certification processes.
• Providing guidance on ICFR to finance teams and stakeholders.
• Leading ICFR training workshops.
• Liaising with BBC ICFR team and reporting to the ICFR HoF.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Fully qualified Accountant (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
• 5+ years of ICFR/SOX or Audit experience.
• Expertise in SOX/ICFR implementation and process mapping.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

• Controls-design effectiveness testing experience.
• Experience in change management related to frameworks and processes.
