Job summary

Appoint Consulting ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a family-owned business. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with two days per week from home.

You will deliver timely financial reporting, support budgeting and planning, and ensure efficient finance processes across the organisation. Key responsibilities include managing payables/receivables, month-end close, reconciliations, payroll support, and producing management accounts and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience using NetSuite within a finance environment would be beneficial.
• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience within retail or product-based environments is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Liaise with other areas in the business such as procurement regarding budgets.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage petty cash, expense claims, and corporate credit card reconciliations.
• Support payroll processing and review payroll-related entries when required.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts and cost centre P&L.
• Support budget preparation, monitoring variances and highlighting issues to management.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Respond to finance queries.
