Anderson Knight is partnering with a Glasgow haulage business to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager. You will own key finance activities and support senior management with accurate financial reporting and commercial insight.

Qualifications

• Currently studying ACCA/CIMA/ICAS.
• Experience in Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
• Proficient in Excel and finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts.
• Lead month end reporting, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Monitor cash flow and financial performance.
• Produce financial reports and analysis for senior management.
• Oversee VAT returns and statutory compliance.
• Improve finance processes and controls where required.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to support decision making.
• Support and develop the finance team.
