Job summary

The Wise Group in Glasgow is seeking a Finance Manager – Commercial & Performance to join a reshaped finance function. You will partner with Service Delivery and Commercial & Partnerships to translate financial insights into actionable decisions.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead analysis of contract performance, support bids and pricing, and develop financial models and scenarios, while supervising the Financial Analyst and strengthening controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified CIMA, ACCA, CA or equivalent, with broad relevant finance experience.
• Strong commercial and financial judgement, with experience of performance analysis, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Curious and able to translate complex financial information into clear insights.
• Confident building trusted relationships and providing constructive challenge.
• Experience of pricing, bids and commercial support to opportunities would be valuable.
• Able to lead and develop others; values social impact alongside financial return.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted Finance partner to Service Delivery and Commercial & Partnerships, providing insight, support and constructive challenge.
• Understand the financial and operational drivers behind contract and service performance.
• Use management information, forecasts and analysis to identify risks, opportunities and choices.
• Provide financial and commercial input into bids, pricing and new opportunities.
• Develop and challenge financial models, business cases and investment proposals.
• Strengthen the link from bid and pricing through mobilisation into delivery.
• Support the Head of Finance with enterprise-wide forecasting and forward-looking financial insight.
• Lead and develop the Financial Analyst.
• Work with the Finance Manager – Accounting & Control to ensure robust information and controls.
