Job summary

The Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Finance Manager to own day-to-day finance for the Southeast division, based at Ruskin House, Battle, with responsibility for the new Wessex division as it becomes standalone in 2027.

You will drive financial health, statutory compliance and commercial insight, leading month-end close, WIP and stock reporting, budgeting and performance analysis, and liaising with external auditors and the Vortex Group.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE in a similar role.
• Experience with month-end close, WIP and management accounts.
• Knowledge of UK VAT, CIS and tax compliance.
• Strong Excel modelling and data analysis skills.
• Exposure to ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver timely month-end close for divisions.
• Oversee supplier invoices, payments, and asset registers.
• Lead annual year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Own WIP, accruals and stock valuations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow for Southeast and Wessex.
• Improve reporting through automation and Power BI.
