Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking a Finance Manager - Governance, Risk & Control for the Food business. You will be the governance, risk and controls SME, strengthening the control environment and driving risk awareness across Finance, Buying, Product Technology and Logistics.

This highly visible role partners with senior leaders and collaborates with Audit, Group Risk and other functions to ensure robust controls and confident decision-making.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong governance, risk, internal audit, compliance or controls experience.
• Proven track record designing and improving risk management frameworks and internal controls.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to drive risk-aware decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk management across the Food business, partnering with risk leads across Buying, Product Technology, Finance and Logistics.
• Act as the governance, risk & control SME for the Food business, advising on new processes and control frameworks.
• Manage governance and assurance activities with Internal and External Audit teams, supporting audit planning and delivery.
• Drive accountability through reporting to senior stakeholders and risk reviews, challenging actions as needed.
• Support strategic control and compliance initiatives across M&S Food and participate in Group Change & Control programmes.
