Job Description:

Rockbourne is delighted to be partnering with one of the leading multi-family Investor/Developers to help them appoint a new Finance Manager or Financial Controller.

The Why

Due to the continued growth of the portfolio and multiple assets becoming fully operational, there is a need to expand the finance function of the business.

You will play a key role alongside the Finance Director in managing the financial operations and ensuring the financial success of the organisation. You will be overseeing the financial planning, reporting, analysis, risk management, and managing outsourced providers to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.

What is in it for you?

Opportunity to Influence: an ambitious team, where everyone has the opportunity to mould the business

Strategic Input: a chance to step into a more strategic position, combining the day-to-day finance role and more of an “oversight” role, working on the principal side of the table.

Growth & Stability: the chance to be part of a business that’s growing from strength to strength, with plans to double their footprint in the next 3 years.

Variety: a cross-disciplinary role in a business with a flat structure means that everyone takes advice from each other, and every day will be different.

Purpose: working on “best-in-class” BTR schemes where quality and design are at the forefront of each project.

Input: expected to give your own opinion and challenge the status quo, the team is super smart, but they still have plenty to learn and want to hear your views.

Progression: the chance to be a key player in a small but growing business and form part of their future leadership team.

About the role:

As part of the investment management team, you will be involved in:

  • Manage the existing outsourced financial functions which report into the Investor funds.
  • Support the commercial property finance teams who are also outsourced, ensuring P&L reviews, rent reviews, and cost management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data, identify areas of concern, and present findings to senior management.
  • Develop and implement financial planning strategies and processes to support the company's growth objectives.
  • Co-ordinate accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through regular risk assessments and appropriate risk management strategies.
  • Manage project cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships.

  • High proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Experience working in real estate development, management or investment is highly desirable
  • £75,000 - £100,000 plus a discretionary bonus
  • Location: Central London with flexibility
