Job summary

Westbourne - Bournemouth - Dorset is seeking a Finance Manager / Financial Accountant to oversee month-end and year-end close, tax accruals and statutory reporting within a growing international SME.

The role requires strong Excel and accounting systems experience, with VAT, payroll and year-end expertise highly valued. Part-qualified, QBE or fully qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; hybrid working is offered.

Vardey Recruitment is delighted to support a very modern, forward-thinking, growing international SME based in Westbourne, Bournemouth, Dorset, in the search for an Accountant – Financial Accountant, Part-Qualified, Qualified or QBE.

The Financial Accountant Role

• Managing month-end and year-end accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting management accounts and statutory accounts
• Overseeing VAT returns, payroll and tax accruals
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation
• Supporting corporation tax and international tax compliance
• Assisting with US sales tax and Middle East operations
• Liaising with external accountants, auditors and tax advisers
• Improving finance systems, controls and processes
• Providing accounting support across the wider business
• Sharing the work load between the 2 in team with the view to hire a 3rd person to do the transactional duties

About You as an Accountant / PQ Accountant / QBE

• You could be a qualified Accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA), an experienced QBE Accountant, or a part-qualified Accountant who is ready to step into a broader role and take on more responsibility.
