Vanrath is recruiting a Finance Manager/Company Accountant for our client in Greater Belfast. The role offers broad exposure across the finance function and scope to strengthen controls and contribute to growth.

Ideal candidates are qualified accountants or qualified by experience, with broad accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
• Broad accounting experience across operational and technical activities.
• Experience establishing or maintaining internal controls.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting, including AP, AR, and financial reporting.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Liaise with payroll providers to ensure accurate processing.
