Summary

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner for the Digital & Technology Data & Data Science team and Corporate team (HR, Finance, Property). The role is responsible for business partnering & providing insight to the Finance Director, business, and Digital & Technology leadership across these areas.

This is a broad role partnering the Chief Data & AI Officer as we formulate our strategy across this area, and partnering leadership across the Corporate portfolio as we deliver significant strategic programmes (S4, SAP Decoupling).

We are looking for a highly capable business partner, adept at building great relationships with the business, and comfortable working in a matrix stakeholder mode. A strong influencer, with natural curiosity, who can provide commercial challenge and become a trusted business partner & critical friend. Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, able to juggle multiple demands but prioritise effectively.

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Finance business partner for Digital & Technology Data & Data Science and Corporate teams, providing strategic financial analysis and actionable insights to enable decision-making at ExCo level on investment choices - helping them by appraising and developing new business cases as well as tracking inflight programmes.
  • Strategy and Investment: financial analysis and insight to support our Digital & Technology Data & Data Science strategy and Corporate Programmes, working collaboratively with the teams. Budget and Forecast: Support delivery of reforecasts and long-term planning, including monthly R&Os, quarterly reforecasts, budget and 5 year strategic plans working cross-functionally to deliver each cycle.
  • Review and challenge resourcing requirements and associated cost profiles across the product teams you partner, to ensure the correct balance of skillset and expenditure is considered for our strategic partners and related deliverables.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the different Business areas & Finance teams to assess specific initiatives, model potential benefits and build into future projections.
  • Bring a commercial mindset to identify areas of potential cost saving opportunity using oversight across Digital & Technology to join the dots across areas and expose areas of opportunity. Providing commercial challenge to optimise total cost of ownership, transparency over progress and risks and assurance of benefits.
Who you are

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Qualified accountant with several years PQE in a commercial environment.
  • Experience of Technology Finance, Data & Data Science and or SAP would be preferable.
  • Collaborative approach, with a natural style that builds credibility and a strong network.
  • Commercial curiosity and a critical thinker with excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence and partner at senior and exec levels.
