easyJet Airline Company PLC is seeking a Finance Manager for Central Costs Payroll in Luton. You will own overhead accounting, payroll reporting, and controls across the organisation, ensuring accurate financial data and regulatory compliance.

The role combines forecasting, month-end close, and continuous process improvement with broad stakeholder engagement. You’ll work in a hybrid setup (office 3 days a week) and report to the Senior Finance Manager Central Costs, supporting effective

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Post-qualification experience in a finance environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial controls.
• Experience managing complex accounting processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive improvement.
• Strong communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience leading people or workstreams and prioritising deadlines.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Agresso/TM1 is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own overhead accounting activities and reporting for central costs.
• Oversee payroll accounting processes for accurate reporting.
• Review payroll journals, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Ensure payroll costs, taxes, deductions are recorded in the GL.
• Complete payroll balance sheet and expense reconciliations.
• Develop monthly reporting to improve quality and insight.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close for overheads.
• Ensure compliance with tax, pension, and statutory requirements.
• Support payroll audits and control assessments.
• Maintain robust controls and drive process improvements.
• Build relationships across finance and the business to support performance.
• Drive efficiency and deliver actionable financial insight.
