Job summary

easyJet is seeking a senior finance leader to head the newly formed Central Costs team in Luton. You will oversee accounting, controls and reporting across Central Costs and drive governance and insightful reporting for senior stakeholders.

In this 12-15 month fixed-term role, you will lead seven staff, partner with FP&A and Group Financial Control, and help prepare for Oracle Fusion implementation while embedding future process changes.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or CIMA).
• Significant post-qualification experience within a complex finance environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and professional judgement.
• Experience leading finance or transactional accounting teams.
• Proven ability to manage complex accounting processes and reporting activities.
• Experience owning balance sheet controls, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at senior manager/director level.
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of developing teams and delivering results.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel; VBA/SQL/ERP experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading all accounting, control, and reporting activities across Central Costs.
• Owning the balance sheet and P&L accuracy for areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring timely completion and review of reconciliations, journals, and month-end activities.
• Providing financial insight, analysis, and reporting to Central FP&A and Group Financial Control.
• Acting as the primary contact for internal and external audits.
• Driving improvements in financial processes, controls, reporting, and supplier management.
• Producing variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Supporting half-year and full-year reporting requirements.
• Identifying risks, opportunities, and cost trends to support strategic decisions.
• Collaborating with Finance Transformation for Oracle Fusion implementation.
• Building relationships across finance and the wider business to support performance.
• Leading, developing, and motivating a high-performing team.
