Job summary

RAC is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Finance Business Partner and drive financial performance for the Fleet & Branded Contact Centres within the Business Roadside division. The role combines financial analysis, commercial decision-making and proactive business partnering in a hybrid setup.

You will engage with senior stakeholders, contribute to pricing activity and support strategic initiatives while progressing through part-qualified accountancy exams.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant status (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience as Finance Analyst or Commercial Finance Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
• Experience supporting budgets, forecasts and month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Leading month-end reporting activities and ensuring accurate financial performance reporting.
• Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, working with stakeholders to understand risks and opportunities.
• Partnering with sales and account management teams to drive commercial performance.
• Analysing customer renewals and reviewing pricing strategies to maximise profitability.
• Providing financial insight and recommendations to support new business opportunities.
• Collaborating with Account Managers to provide financial support and challenge to meet objectives.
• Monitoring business performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Building relationships with stakeholders and acting as a trusted finance business partner.
• Delivering meaningful analysis to support strategic decision-making and growth.

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an ambitious commercially focussed Finance Manager to support our fast-paced and engaging Business Roadside team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst or Assistant Finance Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career. You'll gain exposure to senior stakeholders, commercial decision-making, pricing activity and business partnering, making it the ideal move for someone looking to broaden their impact and accelerate their professional development.

The role will be supporting the Finance Business Partner to help drive financial performance of our Fleet & Branded Contact Centres within the Business Roadside division. You will provide full and accurate financial information, financial guidance and advise as well as financial insight and pricing activity. You will also support and provide flexibility across all Business Roadside areas as priorities require.

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mind and advanced Excel experience and be part-qualified and working towards relevant accountancy exams.

This is a hybrid role, working two days a week from our Bescot offices and three days working from home.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

The successful person will be a part qualified accountant with relevant finance experience who can demonstrate financial modelling skills and have a good understanding of relevant commercial disciplines.

We need this person to be confident in challenging decisions constructively whilst maintaining excellent stakeholder management and be able to assimilate information and make decisions quickly.

You’ll ideally have:

• Part-qualified accountant status (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Finance Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
• Experience supporting budgets, forecasts and month-end processes.
• A commercial mindset with an interest in pricing, profitability and business performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge and influence when required.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• A proactive approach with a desire to continuously improve processes and performance.
