Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Finance Manager for Buildings + Places (UK&I) in a hybrid London role. You will partner with the business to manage finance, reporting, planning and forecasting, ensuring timely, accurate results and strong internal controls.

You will lead a team of project accountants, drive revenue recognition, bid reviews, and WIP/AR processes while supporting audits and strategic finance initiatives across UK & Ireland.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or overseas equivalent professional finance qualification.
• Experience in operational/ commercial / controllership / FP&A environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Revenue Recognition and Project Accounting.
• Pro-active with leadership and ability to manage a regionally spread team.

Responsibilities

• Partner strategically with the business in all aspects of finance management, reporting, planning & forecasting.
• Work collaboratively with the business to drive sustainable growth.
• Oversee project budgets and revenue recognition; support annual financial audit processes.
• Ensure SOX compliance and strong internal controls across the finance function.
• Coach and mentor project accountants; participate in weekly finance team calls.
