Job summary

DF Capital, a specialist bank based in Ancoats, Manchester, is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Director of Financial Control and Reporting. The role focuses on team management, financial reporting, and leading cross‑functional projects within a regulated bank environment.

You will oversee monthly close, tax matters, risk controls, and the adoption of automation/AI to improve processes and efficiency, while working with Change and MI teams to enhance financial controls and governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified or certified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) required.
• Experience in financial services and managing teams.
• Proven project management with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a strong cohort of qualified and junior accountants and their development.
• Oversee monthly management accounts production and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee tax returns (VAT, CT, ERS, P11D) and liaise with external tax advisors.
• Drive improvements to internal risk and controls environment.
• Lead finance and cross‑group projects and collaborate with other departments for efficiency.
